Specimens fit with a 10 px gap at both ends of their longest side; the other dimension is centered unless an edge view is selected. Proportions stay unchanged. Macro crops the original photograph to fill the square. Labels and UV views use black backgrounds. A cropped-off crystal tip cannot be recovered.
